Now reading the novel, Grave Imports by Eric Stone, about the smuggling of priceless cultural artifacts out of Cambodia. Witty dialogue, good observation of people and place. Wicked satire of the British expat.
Just finished The Accidental Florist by Jill Churchill, which is not about a florist at all, but about mothers-in-law that the author has a good time bashing. I was not sympathetic, having recently become a mother-in-law myself.

If it didn't take so much time, I'd add to my blog more often. It takes time from chores, housework, reading, writing, talking, visiting, traveling, taking care of the dog, procrastinating, meditating, and even sleeping.
There are so many steps to getting pictures from my camera onto the computer and then onto the blog! A sometimes daunting process!
My hat's off to those of you who blog religiously every day or every other day. And to those you who have figured out how to manipulate your templates to look original and eye catching.
Where do you get the time!

I agree. Sometimes I have what I think is a great post, but it just does not work out. Other times I change the template... just to make the 'old' seem 'new'.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about not having enough time to blog, Book Bird Dog. As I said in my post, it's about having fun, not about it being a chore, and it gets easier the more you post. For some of us, like me, I write as easily as I breathe, and almost that necessarily.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't do housework! ;-) (hubby does most of it, even laundry and cooking sometimes, bless his rugged soul.)
Just relax and have fun with the blogging. If it becomes a chore, then the fun goes away, and you don't want that.
yeah, i agree with jodi. just keep it fun. that's what i remind when i worry about my own blog's lack of bells and whistles. i just discovered your blog, and plan to check it regularly. btw, i have a bird watching factoid to share: did you know that wild turkeys can make it to the tops of very high trees? i surely didn't, until yesterday when i saw two perched on mile-high branches in the middle of the afternoon. looking up at them, it felt totally prehistoric; like i had just stepped into jurassic park.
