Tuesday Teaser: Hell Hath No Curry by Tamar Myers

TEASER TUESDAYS is a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading. Choose two sentences from your current read, and add the author and title for readers. Anyone can join in.

"Again I looked at my image in the mirror, this time with open eyes - well, one open eye. 'Oh, my heavens, oh, my stars,' I said, feeling faint."

from Hell Hath No Curry by Tamar Myers.

Who and where am I?
Magdalena Yoder owns a Mennonite inn in Pennsylvania. She solves crimes (and writes recipes) in all the books she is in. Hell Hath No Curry is the 15th in the comedy-mystery series by Tamar Myers.

I read a few of this series quite a few ago and enjoyed them. It was around the time I traced my ancestors back to Pennsylvania Mennonites. Fun series.

I just find the whole concept of this series fascinating. Do you mind if I ask what the first book in the series is?

Kiirstin: The first book in the series is "Too Many Crooks Spoil the Broth."

Stacybuckeye: Way too cool! Mennonite ancestors!

Nice tease, Tea.

What a great title for a book. I typically enjoy crime novels so the comedy would just be that much better. I'll have to keep an eye out for one - thanks for posting the first in the series.

Everyone: Tamar Myers writes another funny cozy mystery series about an antique dealer in the South -Lost in Antiguity series. I recommend those - they are hilarious! One of my favorites is "The Ming and I."

Love the title! Great teaser!

Jaime: I'm reading the book now and will do a review. I chose the sentences without reading the context! Whatever it is, it's probably very funny. Come back later!
