Sunday Salon: Mixed Genres

Welcome to the Sunday Salon where bloggers share their reading each week.Visit The Sunday Post hosted by The Caffeinated Bookreviewer; Also visit It's Monday: What Are You Reading hosted by Book Journey and Stacking the Shelves at Tynga's Reviews.

Cool temperatures are here, not that I mind. Good for reading and sleeping!

I have some new books on my desk this fall:

And a few cozies:

I have just reviewed on Goodreads two good cozies:
The Blood of an Englishman: An Agatha Raisin Mystery #25 by M.C. Beaton
The Wolfe Widow: A Book Collector Mystery #3 by Victoria Abbott

and am 98 percent finished with Us: A Novel by David Nicholls. I rate it 5/5.

Click on the book covers for book descriptions. Lives In Ruins and Chinese Rules are nonfiction

What are you reading these days?

  1. I need to read Shear Trouble purely because of the corgi on the cover! Eeek!
    Great haul :)
    Cora @ Tea Party Princess

  2. Oh, you have some intriguing books on your stacks...I love the look of Book Fair and Foul; and Misdirection has an interesting cover.

  3. Cozy mystery authors must spend months coming up with titles. They are always fabulous.

  4. I do not know if you plan to read any of these books in order or together. I find that reading mixed genres, especially in light of the fact that I usually read two books simultaneously to be a really good thing to do.

  5. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying Us so much! My copy just arrived yesterday, and I'm so, so excited to start reading it!

  6. Some good looking reads coming up, I especially like the look of Book Fair and Foul, that cover alone is a keeper. I'll have to add that one, I like an occasional cozy.

    Have a great week!

  7. Enjoy your reading, Harvee! I am reading a collection of short stories (I should add it to my blog's sidebar).

  8. Fall seems like the perfect time for cozy mysteries! I'm enjoying a couple of R.I.P. reads today - The Haunting of Hill House and A Murder is Announced.

  9. You got me curious about the David Nicholls book Us. Thanks for the word on this one. 5 stars sounds good!

  10. So glad to see you're loving Us. It's on my review stack. I hope to read it soon. Have a great week!

  11. Cozies are so much fun and perfect for the fall weather. Enjoy your new books!

  12. I Keep reading posts about Us. Must be a popular book. Luv the cozies.

  13. It looks like you have some interesting books for the Fall. Have a great week.

  14. I enjoyed the new Agatha Raisin as well and I'm very much looking forward to trying the Erika Chase series. I have the first one but haven't gotten to it yet. Looks like you got some interesting books this week. I'm especially curious about Lives in Ruins and The Figures of Beauty. Have a great week!

  15. I like your eclectic mix-up of books here. Lives in Ruins is totally new to me, and somehow appealing. Enjoy reading all your new finds!

  16. I haven't started Us yet, but it's good to know that you really like it!

  17. Lives in Ruin looks good to me.

ENJOY all your book and your reading.
