When you first disappeared, your mother warned me that finding out exactly what had happened to you would be worse than never knowing. We argued about this constantly because arguing was the only thing that held us together at the time.Teaser, page 69:
"No," she'd told him, because by then, the desire had been stifled by a tall stack of waffles. "I feel like I want to dig up Paul's body and kill him all over again."My comments: I enjoyed the book, though I wished it had been less violent.

ReplyDeleteYes, I would keep reading. I like the first paragraph and the teaser. I have been wanting to read something by this author for quite some time. I'm not sure if this is the one or not. Is this a series that I should begin at book one?

DeleteThis does sound good! I can see why not knowing might be better for some, but I think I would want to know, no matter how awful. I like the teaser you posted as well--nice juxtaposition to the opening.
