We hope to see the last of the snow today as it will be near 70!!! one day in the middle of next week. We are on a see-saw of temperatures, and that one day will stand out like a promise of not even spring, but summer!

Lots to prepare for this summer, including visitors from afar that I can't wait to see.  Big smiles!

My mailbox was full with two mystery novels and a bunch of welcome cozies.

What's your cozy read this week?

Just finished reading:
Lone Star by Paullina Simons.  I enjoyed this coming of age story and romance set in Eastern Europe and Italy.

Goodreads describes the book  as "the unforgettable love story between a college-bound young woman and a traveling troubadour on his way to war—a moving, compelling novel of love lost and found set against the stunning backdrop of Eastern Europe."

  1. It is my goal to start reading more cozies... maybe this summer. I'm not sure why I got out of the habit in the first place. Reading Up a Storm sounds like a perfect place to start.

  2. Those all sound fun, but I'm most intrigued by the phrase "literary lighthouse"! I'm currently reading The Body in the Transept by Jeanne M. Dams -- first in a series about an American expat in an English cathedral town. I've set it down for something faster-paced, but I think I'll get back to it.

  3. I don't read enough copies! These sound like fun! I use to love watching Murder She Wrote, but I h a vent read any of the books. And I'm definitely going to put Reading Up A Storm on my TBR list because one of these days we're going to the Outer Banks.Great bunch of books! Enjoy!

  4. I love a good mystery, and watched Murder She Wrote endlessly when the show was on the air. Nowadays, I've rediscovered it on the Hallmark Channel!

Blood Orange looks tempting. Enjoy your week...and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  5. These look fantastic! I love the Murder She Wrote show but I haven't picked up any of the books yet. I also want to go back to the Susan Wittig Albert series. I read them early on but got distracted. The newer ones look so good and Eva Gates is on my TBR. How can I resist a library in a lighthouse? Have a great week!

  6. Here on Long Island we also have had up and down temperatures. We had a dusting of snow on Friday. Hopefully that is it.

I think that my wife would like A Clue in the Stew so I will recommend it to her. I love then title.

  19. I know that Eva Gates is also Vicki Delany, one of my current favorite authors (the Molly Smith series). I also have been wondering about the Susan Witting Albert series for years now. So many books to catch up on, but perhaps I could just jump in and start. Mysteries are my favorite genre, so I enjoyed your post :)
