Sunday Salon: A Climbing Thriller and a Romantic Comedy

 Currently reading:

Breathless (click on title for my review).

Published May 3rd 2022 by Anchor Books
Setting: Manaslu, Nepal - the eighth-highest peak in the world

About the book: A high-altitude thriller that will take your breath away--Journalist Cecily Wong is on her most dangerous climb yet, miles above sea level on a mountain in Nepal. But the elements are nothing compared to one chilling truth: There's a killer on the mountain.

I'm half way through, and find it very suspenseful and informative about the dangers and thrills of alpine climbing and mountaineering.

And now for another rom com,

Bad Cruz

Kindle Editionpublished November 10th, 2021

I'm enjoying this  romantic comedy on Kindle Unlimited

About the book: Two unlikely people - a quarterback turned beloved small town physician and a single mom with a bad reputation - find themselves thrown together on a pre-wedding cruise meant for their entire families. Several factors could prevent them from getting along.

See my goodreads review.

  1. Yeah I'm wondering if Kindle Unlimited would be worth it. The top novel looks scary ... as if climbing a high mountain wasn't hard enough!

    1. I've found mystery series on KU in the past that I really liked. Viveca Sten, Elly Griffiths, etc.

  5. Kindle Unlimited has never seemed worth it to me, though I mostly read kindle books. I know a lot of people are beginning to question why they have it.

    1. I found some good mystery series by authors such as Viveca Sten. Too bad Elly Griffiths is no longer KU but paid books.

  6. Breathless looks great! I read a lot of KU books. I try to help self-published authors on my blog, and most of them are on KU, so I can give them a review and they get credit for pages read.

  11. I've never subscribed to Kindle Unlimited, but it seems like it would be something that would be useful to me. I often see that books I want to read are available there.

Breathless sounds like it has a fantastic setting. And these days I seem to be really enjoying rom coms.
