In Sudden Death Sudoku, a mystery novel, Katie McDonald enters a sudoku challenge game and finds problems that lead up to a murder.
"Maybe Gordon was a cheater. Or maybe he was right, and there was more jealousy than truth in the accusation, which would be a shame."
(p. 32, Sudden Death Sudoku: A Katie McDonald Mystery, 2008)

It is amazing what they can base mysteries on. Sudoku, who would have thunk it?! Fun teaser!
ReplyDeleteGood mystery and teaser!!
ReplyDeleteOh man -- the title alone would've gotten me! I'm like your other commenters -- I love Sudoku! So I'd have glommed right onto this book from across the room.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice! Meanwhile, my own teaser is at Bookishgal.
Loved it! ...more jealousy than truth in the accusation, which would be a shame. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI like to play Sudoku too. guess I'll have to look this up, Thanks!
I've read a couple of the first sudoku mysteries. They're not bad, and some include sudoku puzzles to solve.
ReplyDeleteI should have known a novel with Sudoku would come out. Thanks for the concern, we are being well fed (and healthy stuff too.)
ReplyDeleteHope all is well, Shanna
Nice teasers. I guess it does make sense that there would be a mystery series with sudoku as its theme - it's so popular right now. I've never been able to figure out the attraction - but then I've never been a numbers person. Any kind of math seems pretty deadly to me!
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser!
ReplyDeleteThere is an award waiting for you on my blog page!

Count me in as a sudoku lover too, although I still haven't graduated to the hard ones!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, yes, the book my teaser came from is a mystery.
I like a good sudoku as well. But dont play them as often as I would like.
ReplyDeleteI used to play them on airplanes, and concentrate really hard if the planes were bouncing up and down in bad weather, just so I wouldn't get airsick! It worked!
