"Now that summer is here (in the northern hemisphere, anyway), what is the most “Summery” book you can think of? The one that captures the essence of summer for you?"

I'm now reading Songs of Blue and Gold by Deborah Lawrenson, set on the Greek island of Corfu, a sunny island full of bays, beaches, and rocky cliffs.

I also plan to read something more hot, Killer Summer by Ridley Pearson, a thriller set in Sun Valley, Idaho.

I plan to review both books in July!

  3. Those are some good choices...it's pretty hot here. I have the house all closed up and dark to keep it cool. Getting caught up on emails and then I'm going to read!!

  7. Haven't read either of those, but I've got "Killer Summer" on my TBR list. "Songs of Blue and Gold" sounds like a perfect summer read. Good choices!

  9. I haven't read either of the titles you listed but Killer Summer sounds perfect--especially in this choking southern heat!

My perfect beach read...Summerhouse by Jude Deveraux.
