Sunday Salon: An OK Thriller and a Madcap Romance

Harriet, wedding photographer, has seen people escape from undesirable partners. She herself has escaped from two, just barely. This is an interesting book dealing with breakups and some of the serious reasons behind them.

An indictment too of social media used to spread false information about people and destroy careers and relationships.

I found the themes of modern love and courtship both timely and universal.

An interesting but not extraordinary thriller. It didn’t have the wrenching, unexpected twists I was expecting. None of the plot twists were too surprising, and the girlfriend's personality and motivations could have been more original.  An okay read.

    I've seen this cover pop up somewhere and wondered about it....it looks like my kind of book. Seeing your review, I'm thinking it doesn't need to take up space on my TBR. :)

    I'm so glad to see how much you enjoyed Mad About You. I've been very interested in reading rom-coms lately and this one sounds like it's one I should look for.

    I'm not much for thrillers, and I especially do not like disappointing ones. So, no.

    I have read that author KL Slater but the one I read was more of a psychological thriller than an action or police procedural type. I like that type of thriller better for me. Happy reading! Happy Halloween!

    That first novel's title reminds me of the TV series long ago ... with Helen Hunt. Does the novel have any humor like the series? cheers.
